Hampstead grew up along Highway 17 rather than around a downtown grid, and its properties show it. Unprotected steel deteriorates fast in salt air, so we point waterfront-adjacent projects toward powder-coated aluminum, vinyl, and galvanized chain link with coated fittings — and we watch the small parts, because hinges, latches, and fasteners usually fail first near the water. Wood still works on sound-side lots when it is specified for the exposure. If a storm has already taken a section down, our fence repair crew handles that too.

Hampstead’s established communities — Olde Point, Belvedere, and the subdivisions filling in around the schools — commonly require architectural approval before a fence goes up.
